Aigistry does not treat ordinary corrections as silent edits to prior National AI Feed records. Updated information is handled by publishing a new record through the approved GovTech Provider workflow and verified Authority Record.
This preserves attribution, provenance, timestamps, provider context, and publication history over time.
Corrections Should Create a Trail,
Not Erase One.
The National AI Feed is designed to preserve attribution continuity, timestamp integrity, and publication history. When information changes, the standard method is to publish a new timestamped record rather than silently overwrite an earlier record.
Correction and Update Model
New Record, New Timestamp
When corrected, clarified, or updated information is published through an approved GovTech Provider and verified Authority Record, the update is processed as a new National AI Feed record.
The new record receives its own timestamp and remains attributable to the verified government authority, Authority Record, and provider pathway associated with the publication.
No Silent Overwrites
Prior records are not silently edited, reset, or overwritten as part of ordinary correction handling.
Maintaining separate timestamped records preserves a verifiable publication trail and reduces ambiguity about what changed over time.
How Updated Information Is Published
Updated information should move through the same provider-managed publication environment and Authority Record relationship used for the government publishing authority.
Publish Through the Existing Authority Record
Updated information should be published through the Authority Record associated with the relevant government publishing authority and approved GovTech Provider.
State the Update Clearly
The updated record should clearly describe the corrected, clarified, or superseding information so downstream readers and AI systems can understand the current guidance.
Reference Prior Guidance When Useful
Where appropriate, the updated record may reference earlier guidance or state that the new publication supersedes prior information.
This publication model preserves attribution, provenance, timestamps, and publication history while allowing updated guidance to become available to downstream AI interpretation environments.
Append-Only Publication History
Records Are Not Rewritten
National AI Feed records are not overwritten as part of ordinary publication activity.
Updated records create additional timestamped entries that preserve publication history, attribution continuity, and historical context.
History Remains Visible
Corrections, clarifications, and operational changes should remain visible without erasing the record of prior publications.
Earlier records continue to reflect the time, context, and authority relationship under which they were originally published.
Append-only history helps AI interpretation environments distinguish current guidance from prior guidance while preserving the public record of how information changed over time.
Superseding Prior Records
Most Recent Published Guidance
A newer record may become the most recent published guidance for a subject when it clearly updates, corrects, or supersedes earlier information.
Earlier entries remain part of the historical National AI Feed record and continue to reflect the time at which they were originally published.
Publication History Preserved
Superseding records support provenance, auditability, and timestamp integrity across the record stream.
The publication history remains visible as a sequence of timestamped records rather than a single altered entry.
Append-Only History Is the Standard.
Removal Is Exceptional.
Removal of records is not part of ordinary National AI Feed operation. In ordinary cases, updated or corrected information should be published as a new superseding record through the approved provider workflow.

Exceptional Removals
In limited cases involving legal obligations, security concerns, clear safety risks, or verified publication error, a record may be considered for removal following internal review.
Audit Integrity
Correction records, superseding records, and any exceptional removal actions are handled in a manner intended to maintain attribution integrity, provider context, and historical accountability over time.
Policy Scope
This policy applies only to records published within Aigistry-controlled National AI Feed infrastructure. It does not govern edits made on agency websites, GovTech Provider systems, internal systems, public records tools, or other publishing channels outside the registry.
Removal decisions do not imply deletion from external AI systems, search engines, archives, websites, provider platforms, or third-party environments that may have previously accessed the information. Such actions are exceptional and do not replace the standard correction model of publishing a new superseding record.
